Alright, a recap for everyone: So Palepaw escaped from MistClan, but Antkit, Poppkit and Redkit didn't quite manage. Lionstar came in, and Larkfur (MistClan's deputy) told him that he could only have the kits back if they gave MistClan a third of their territory. Lionstar refused, saying they could keep the kits, then left. Back at RainClan camp, Spiderfoot attacked Lionstar when she heard he'd refused to trade her kits for territory.))
Redkit shrugged. "I'd rather... sleep alone..."
Hailstar was hacking up a lung in his den after he finally awoke, before he began to slowly wheeze for air. When the skinny tom finally caught his breath, he cast an uneasy glance in Larkfur's direction. "What's going on out there?"
Poppykit was taken to the nursery by the queen who claimed to be her mother, laying her in their nest while the other two kits fell asleep. The smoke kitten, on the other hand, couldn't sleep.
The leader squinted his pale eyes. "Who? When did that happen?" The elderly tom struggled to his paws and began to step towards the exit of his secluded den. He paused to wrinkle his nose. His hearing was bad, his sight sucked, but the tom's sense of smell was still as sharp as ever. "Why in the name of StarClan does my camp stink of RainClan?"
Larkfur frowned. "Well, Hailstar... we caught four RainClan cats on our territory. One of them was Shadekit, two others the kits of Lionstar, and the last a random RainClan apprentice. The apprentice escaped, and Lionstar brought a patrol to collect the kits... I told him that he could only have the kits back if he gave us a third of their territory. He refused... and told us to keep the kits... what do we do? Keep them?"
"More mouths to feed..." The tom grumbled under his breath before adverting his eyes to the dusty floor of the mouth of his den, lost in thought as he contemplated the situation. One could visibly see the gears trying to grin in his head. "...We turn them against their clan, simple. We raise them as our own, and make Lionstar regret his mistake. RainClan has issues of its own- he's only being foolish."
He wheezed once more before glancing back up at his deputy. "And Larkfur?" Hailstar rumbled, narrowing his dull optics. "All bets are off. We're hungry, and we're going to make it known. Prey out of our territory is fair game- if Lionstar wants a piece of me, then here I am."
"Oh, well then you'd like the nests near the small stream then. Or near the peony petal place, anyways. Usually in MistClan we are organized and we don't take fowl smells. Anyways..... The fresh-kill pile is obviously near the center of camp. And yeah, you might know where the enterence and nursery are." She meowed. Then turned to Larkfur. "Larkfur? These two are about 6 moons? Any plans?"
"Great! Then we can train together and I can teach you both how to swim!" She smiled, then saw Larkfur expression, "um, I haven't had a good close real friend in forever since Bark-kit..." she meowed. (Could Lark be her mentor?)
Poppykit escaped from the nursery again with a strong desire to find and pick flowers again. The last time had lead to her capture, but they reminded her of her mother, and she needed some hope in those moments. But where could she find for some? She wasn't used to their territory.
"I just want to pick flowers. My mom used to bring me flowers- Nightshade brought me flowers." The smoke kitten replied firmly. She was set on finally picking some, even if her mom wasn't around to take them. It would just make her feel better.
She thought on his question for several moments. Something had always pulled her to the brighter colored flowers, they made her feel happy. "Pink and purple ones." Poppykit decided after several moments. She didn't know their names, she just knew that she liked them.
Well, Lionstar came for his kits, but then rejected them because apparently territory is better then kin. So yeah, the kits are gonna be apprentices soon but MistClan apprentices because Redkit chose to stay.))

A bit of light seemed to come back into the eyes of Poppykit as she beamed down at the patch of vibrant flowers. How could warriors be so wrapped up in fighting, when there was so much more to enjoy. Before long, she was using her tiny paws to weave pink flowers into Larkfur's tail. "...Do you like it?" She thought it was pretty.
"I think you're the prettiest cat in MistClan now." Poppykit declared humbly as she continued to nose through the healthy blooms. Despite her lack of thumbs, she was a creative cat- it just took patience, which she seemed to have plenty of. She had noticed a round, dry remains of some sort of thorny bush, and so she stuck flowers to it and put it on her head. Now, she'd never stink.
Dapplepaw sighed. "I thought Redkit was lying, I'm so sorry about your father.... I thought you'd return to your camp safely, not stay here..." she couldn't help but feel a little relieved she'd get to know Antkit, but she also felt guilty about it all.
Lionstar came for the kits but then rejected his kin over territory and now they have to stay in Mistclna as apprentices, Hailstar plans to use them as an advantage so later Lionstar will realize his mistake. I'm pretty sure Ant x Dapple ship is a go too....)
Dapplepaw stepped in. "Hey! No fighting any of you! Me and Antkit only met yesterday, and therefore we need to get to know each other more, Redkit, assuming isn't a great thing, can you two please stop fighting?!" She snapped.
"Yeah, they're the best! Did you know there are more than one type of Fireshadow you can catch? There are like so many! We haven't named em' all yet! But they're just so good we forget!" Dapplepaw giggled.
"I guess I am, I'm getting a bit rusty because FireClan's pushing the border where we fish, they don't allow apprentices there anymore for the sake of being attacked though, and all we can catch is in that small river we saw. Not much fried by in there.... I'm pretty sure we started learning to catch water voles and mice and possibly birds but it's kind of embarrassing seeing a usual fish clan hunt flying prey..."
"Yeah... they've killed off some of the other apprentices, because of them speaking our fish.... my brother Salmonpaw and my best friend Minnowpaw, and then there was Stonepaws friend Rushpaw... and a warrior named Goosefoot. He was my uncle. A senior warrior who was the only father figure I had. I'd so much like to claw their pelts off!"
"It's fine. I promised them I'd be the best warrior ever and that's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna do big things for the clan, they'll see. I'm gonna stop this war and being peace in the clans, I'll make them proud." She shook her head. "Anyways... what do you think is happening in RainClan?"
Dapplepaws eyes widened. "Look at you two. Fighting at this age. Listen. Your tpfather abandons you and this is what you're gonna do? Fight? For anything you should be comforting each other and reassuring each other! Not fighting! The forest has enough fighting! You are brothers! You should have eachothers backs, not stabbing them." Dapplepaw sighed and padded into her nest. She started to groom herself.
"I.." Antkit gasped, watched Dapplepaw's retreating pelt, "Redkit. Please. Just... Please. She's my friend, and you have no right to mess with that. I wanted peace for both of us... please. Just don't do anything more to ruin my life."
Dapplepaw sighed and licked her paws. She never really understood too much about siblings, Salmonpaw had a short life, but spher and him got along quite fine, other than the times when he's beat her at races, she'd beat him at swimming races. She didn't understand why Redkit was a little bossy furball.
Palepaw padded outside the medicine cats den, having chewed herbs all over her pelt didn't feel good. It felt like she was being poked with needles and filled with bushes, yuck. She honestly didn't feel so bad about the kits, that's how it works. They don't listen, they have to pay the cost. Though she knows she'll be happy to kill them in battle someday, but will probably be hesitant.

Not much happened, in MistClan Antkit and Redkit had a spat over Antkit 'liking' Dapplepaw and in RainClan... I have no idea))
Rosefur unsheathed her claws, did Spiderfoot really think she could take the red she cat on? Most likely not. She stood strait. "I'm saying that we should get them, and that Lionstar is a mouse brain,"
Rosefur knocked Spiderfoot to the ground and pinned her grinning, her hind legs had stood heavily over Spiderfoot's legs so she couldn't kick her, and she paws unsheathed as she was about to start raking the she-cats belly. "You think I'm joking, think of it, he sold your kits to the enemy!"
Rosefur hissed. "How dare I you say? I was on that patrol! He just gave them away like rotten prey! They offered your sons for a third of our territory! And he chose clan over kin! You can't blame me! I don't lead this clan!" She hissed, her muzzle started to bleed.
Poppykit was busying herself with typical young kitten things, poking her nose where it didn't belong and exploring the strange world around her. She wound up near the medicine cat den, playing with the giant stash of moss. She was king of the mosshill! And nobody could challenge her. Not that she cared- she just liked the view from up there. It made her feel as if she had a little more...control over her sticky situation.
Dapplepaw sighed. "Does it have something to do with Redkit? He's very rude for a kit, though he's apprentice aged I wonder when he'll be apprentices, hopefully Hailstar well enough to still carry out ceremonies."
Redkit's eyes strayed to the smoke grey kitten perched on the top of a small mountain of moss. Despite the fact that he disliked hanging with she-cats (as they were disgusting things), something made him make his way over to Poppykit. "Hey!"
When I'm a warrior, I'm just going to explore. It's so pretty out there...why waste being in camp? Admittedly, she was felt a little more fearful around water since the experience of her kidnapping into MistClan, but that still didn't prevent her from feeling an overwhelming amount of wanderlust. For a moment, Poppykit closed her amber eyes to envision herself on the top of a distant mountain, feeling the wind in her fur- her eyes shot open and she was torn from her daydream at the call from Redkit. Poppykit nearly lost balance in the process, before finally she caught herself.
"Oh- hello, Redkit!" She greeted warmly. It seemed that she had since forgiven him from not helping her escape.
"Oh, uh, well..." She adverted her gaze to her paws, hoping he wouldn't ask such a question. She was enjoying having her mind set in the future, when she was old enough to explore and push away the grim feelings that surrounded her in the present. Nightshade was gone, her "siblings" hated her, her "parents" were nuts, and her previous clan... "I'm ok, I guess. How're you? Nice weather, eh?" Poppykit was quick to change the subject.
He frowned, but made no comment on the abrupt change of topic. "Not really.... I hate it here." The kit sat down heavily, grunting softly. "I mean, Antkit likes Dapplepaw!" he suddenly exploded. "It's ridiculous!"
"That's gross." The response came out significantly more bluntly than she expected, and in a fashion that made her sound sick to her stomach. But Poppykit was a young kitten- of course she thought attraction sounded disgusting. "Toms have cooties!"
"I-I mean, I'm sure you don't have cooties- maybe. But Antkit probably does."
Dapplepaw shook her head. "Well, tell me when you'd like to talk." Then she turned to leave, not missing the angry glare of Redkit. "Oh, hey Redkit! Sorry about earlier. I was kind of confused. So, um, how's, life?" She asked. Uncertainly.
Poppykit had discovered a butterfly and was fawning over it as Redkit spoke. When she realized that he said something and she clearly missed it, she grew hot from embarrassment. She was being rude! "Oh, er...sorry. What did you say?"
Oh, good, he wasn't talking to her! So she wasn't being rude for letting her mind wonder again. Poppykit shifted and returned her focus to chasing down the butterfly. She wouldn't dream of killing it, she only wished to observe it and dote on it for its pretty colors.
The world around her had completely been drowned out into a dull background noise. Once the creature finally landed to sun its wings, Poppykit lowered herself to the ground so that her nose was level with the butterfly. "Hello, I'm Poppykit. What's your name?"
Dapplepaw rolled her eyes. "You should know you're here because if yourself. And can't you realize Antkit was worried for you? He came here to find you! Or else you would've been alone. I bet you'd miss him if he hadn't tried to drown himself for you!" She snapped.
Naturally, the creature's response was nothing but silence, as butterflies couldn't communicate with cats. "It's ok, mister, I can be shy as well." The smoke kitten responded patiently, only to lightly flinch when the insect decided to flutter off.
Dapplepaw bristled. "They fight wile they can until one day one disappears and you regret ever making them feel that you hated them, and you have to live forever with guilt. That's how me and my brother where. He was killed in battle against MistClan and now I have to live knowing he'll always see me to have hated him." She narrowed her eyes.
Dapplepaw purred and showed him to her soft nest. "I'm usually tidy with my nest and change it every day, I usually don't like soaked moss as a nest or super dry moss. I like mine soft and comfy. Try it!" She meowed as she leaped into her nest,
Redkit got to his paws, a plan suddenly clear in his mind. What was it that Spiderfoot told me I must never eat or they'd kill me? Berries of death? No... deathberries! What if I gave one of those to Dapplepaw?
The kit then paused, stopping his infectious bouncing abruptly. Is this the right thing to do? Sighing, he inclined his head to the sky, searching out the stars... but there weren't any. He blinked. What?
The deep voice made him spin in his tracks. There, standing in the moonlight, was an impressive tom. His chest was deep, his shoulders broad, and his pelt littered with scars. "This is not real. You are dreaming."
Redkit blinked, cocking his head. "I am?"
The grizzled tom nodded. "You're in your nest, sleeping. Your dreams brought you here."
The kit frowned. "But..." his head turned to the stars again. "Where are the stars?"
"This is a dream," the tom said, snorting. "Why waste your imagination on stars?" He padded forwards, Redkit watching rather admiringly. "I'm here for a reason, little one. I'm here to teach you how to survive. Antkit wants to kill you."
Redkit's first reaction was skeptical. He can't kill me! He's tiny! What he was thinking must have shown on his face, and the tom let out a purr of amusement. "You don't know, do you little one? He's training to kill. Each night, he visits the Dark Forest in his dreams."
The tom kit blinked. "What! But the Dark Forest is evil!"
"It is," the cat agreed sadly. "I'm here to stop thta happening. I'm here to teach you how to beat him... you do want to foil his plans, right?"
Redkit nodded slowly, and the tom purred. "Excellent."
The dream began to fade, and the last thing that Redkit heard before waking up was the tom saying, "And, little one, don't tell your brother about this. He'll tell his Dark Forest pals, and the only chance of survival you've got will disappear. Remember, it's our little secret."
