Redkit is a red-brown tom-kit.
Appearance[]
Physical[]
Redkit is no wonder physically; he looks similar to most cats of his age and Clan. However, his there is something about his features that sets him apart from his peers. Perhaps it is his ears, which are quite large, or maybe his tail, which is a little thicker and plumier then is to be expected. Also, if you look closely, you will see that his legs are a little short, and that his back ones are quite muscular. These added components results in an excellent tree-climber, although Redkit has yet to discover that he has a knack for jumping from branch to branch.
The tom's fur is a reddish brown, although dark brown along his back and the top of his tail. His underbelly is a cream color, his chest a light brown, and his legs a more of a tan color. There are a few dark brown tabby markings on his face, and the dark brown from there runs down his neck, onto his back and up his tail.
Personality[]
This kit is not one you would like to mess with. Despite appearing quite harmless, he lashes out quickly, be it with tongue or claw. One of his most noticeable qualities is his bravery, which gets him into a lot of trouble quite easily. He is also quite a spirited cat, not afraid to speak his mind, as he often shows Palepaw and his brother, Antkit.
Redkit is reasonably kind as well. When Poppykit wished to go pick flowers, he offered to take her out, although this was also due to the fact that he wanted to act brave.
This red-brown kit tells lies quite often, and generally sticks to his false stories even if the other clearly does not believe him. Sometimes his lies are mildly convincing, but he has a reputation for not telling the truth, so others generally aren't ready to believe him.
He is very ready to please, wanting everyone to like him, especially his father. This caused him to adventure into MistClan's territory and catch a mouse, and was one of the reasons he even helped Poppykit sneak out of camp to pick flowers. When Lionstar decided to leave them in MistClan, his heart sank, and he immediately felt worthless, thinking that Lionstar must be abandoning him because he wasn't good enough.
Skills[]
Since Redkit has yet to be apprenticed, he has not discovered his skills, but will discover that he is skilled at climbing and hunting. Still, he is at a crucial stage of development, and if his mentor is not adequate, he may never achieve his full potential.
History[]
Background[]
Redkit is born to Spiderfoot along with Ashkit and Antkit. He has a normal upbringing, but develops a need to prove himself, as well as a sort of rivalry with Antkit.
Roleplay[]
Redkit attacks Deerpaw, calling her a MistClan traitor. When she is called away on patrol, he starts a fight with Antkit, ending up on top of his brother and almost suffocating him, although Spiderfoot intervenes in time. Redkit and Antkit go on to call each other names, but their conversation ends when Antkit says he wishes to go visit 'Grumpy Face', or Stormbreeze to use his proper name.
Redkit overhears Poppykit asking Nightshade to go with her to pick wildflowers. When the queen ignores her kit, Redkit offers to take her, claiming that he's almost an apprentice and can protect her. She agrees, and they set off, only to be stopped by Palepaw, who says that she can escort them. Redkit hisses, saying that they didn't need a chaperone, but Palepaw ignores him, causing him to run into the river to attempt to shake her off. Poppykit follows him, and proves that she is a better swimmer then himself, as he almost drowns, living only because of Palepaw's timely rescue.
Redkit is awed by the fact that they are on MistClan territory, and decides that exploring it would be a wonderful idea to go exploring. He creeps further into MistClan territory, and manages to catch a mouse. Proud of himself, he starts to eat it, then is confronted by a MistClan patrol, who eventually take him, Poppykit and Palepaw captive, deciding to use them as bargaining chips.
When Lionstar arrives to get his kits back, Redkit darts forwards, but is stopped by a MistClan cat, who seizes him by the scruff of the neck. After Lionstar declares that he thinks the territory comes over his kits, Redkit is very glum, not even getting excited when his apprentice ceremony is brought up.

Family[]
Lionstar
- Redkit idolizes his father, and even when he is rejected by him, still believes that he was right. Lionstar can do nothing wrong in Redkit's opinion, although he is still deeply hurt by his father's rejection.
Spiderfoot
- The kit likes his mother, but considers too protective of Antkit, not letting him call her smallest names or even do a tiny thing like choking him. She is a good mother though, he'll give her that.
Antkit
- Antkit... Redkit has never particularly liked his brother. He is annoying and far too determined to prove Redkit wrong. Also, according to Redkit, he is stupid, although this is false.
Ashkit
- Redkit doesn't have any problem with Ashkit, and even considers him rather nice, which is an incredible compliment... coming from Redkit, at least.
Friends[]
- Redkit values Poppykit's friendship, thinking of her quite highly. To him, she's smart, capable, good at telling lies, and rather naive, which all cats should be. He feels rather odd in her presence now though, thinking that she must find him a horrible cat. Perhaps he will one day develop feelings for her, but that day is far away.
Other[]
- Redkit finds Dapplepaw annoying, but mainly because he thinks that Antkit likes her. Since she is from MistClan, and has kittypet heritage, as well as being almost twice as old as his brother. Apart from that, he thinks she's alright, but wouldn't dare tell her that.
- Palepaw... now that is a name that brings fury to the front of Redkit's mind. He considers her to be nosy, arrogant and insufferable, mainly because she decided to act as a chaperone towards him and Poppykit when they tried to sneak out of camp.
Deerpaw
- The little kit enjoys playing with Deerpaw, often pretending to believe that she is a MistClan spy. Despite never mentioning her after being imprisoned by MistClan, he misses her, and wishes she was there to provide entertainment.
Larkfur
- A raving lunatic.
Trivia[]
- Redkit's grudge against Antkit x Dapplepaw isn't caused by jealousy, more the anger that Antkit has found happiness and contentment while Redkit still feels so lost.
