Bearheart is owned by Whiskers

Bearheart is a darker seal point tom with ice-colored eyes.

Description[]

Physical[]

Although his name might suggest a cat of massive scale, Bearheart is actually a hair shorter than the average tom, but he is still physically compact and tank-like. His coat is short and dense, yet soft and almost cloud-like to the touch, although you won't go cuddling him anytime soon. He's seal point by genetics, but with a darker twist. His base is a rich mochca color, while his face, legs, and tail are obsidian-black. This dark background make his eyes absolutely pop. Bearheart's eyes are blue, similar to the shade of thick ice when light is shone through it.

At a distance, Bearheart's minor height difference isn't noticeable, but like it or not, his eyes are vibrant and almost always visible. They set him apart in a crowd, especially since his coal-colored nose is muted against the dark palette of his face, making his optics even more obvious. To add, Bearheart lacks an ounce of white, which only strengthens the rich chocolaty color of his fur.

Personality[]

As his name as a whole would suggest, the tom is brave beyond belief, perhaps foolishly so. He is strongly dedicated towards his clan and the apprentices because he is driven by the desire to protect and serve. So loyal, in fact, that he acts selflessly in order to keep his clan safe, to the point where he'd be willing to lay down his own life for a clanmate. Bearheart is a warrior with strong passion, so great that one can't help but to hold him to high levels of respect.

However, getting to his warm care is no easy task. Bearheart is a cat that puts up barriers, and a lot of them, making him both aloof and absolutely intimidating to approach. For whatever reason, Bearheart fails to trust others easily, while being undoubtedly loyal towards BreezeClan. It seems quite backwards at first, but in all honesty, he cares for the clan as a whole- it takes time for him to be personable towards individuals.

Bearheart is very paternal and has quite the gentle approach, once one is finally capable of breaking through his barriers and reaching his golden heart. He could easily be described as that stereotyped "gentle giant", without the "giant" part.

Skills[]

While he may not be the most massive warrior of BreezeClan, the tom makes up for his size with exceptional strategy skills and stamina. He is both a worthy fighter and hunter because of these abilities, but perhaps not the best when in close-combat with an oversized enemy. Nonetheless, he can usually wear down his enemy if he keeps his distance, or even chase down swift-footed prey over long distances by tiring them out as well. To add, his active lifestyle allows him to perfectly memorize BreezeClan's territory, so he knows the ins-and-outs of the land.

Mentoring and mental stamina are other great qualities of Bearheart. His paternal nature allows him to tolerate moody adolescent cats so that he can properly train them without breaking out into some squabble. He can be very tolerant of these younger cats because he reminds himself to envision the future, not the present, as kits and apprentices will one day become valuable warriors.

History[]

Background[]

Bearkit was born to a pair of successful and highly respected warriors living in BreezeClan. He was the biggest and healthiest of his litter, as they had been born prematurely, resulting in the death of his four other littermates. From there on, Bearkit became the sole priority of his parents, who spent plenty of time rearing him up with good morals and plenty of fun games that helped him sharpen his skills. In fact, his young father even snuck him out of camp from time to time to explore BreezeClan's rough slopes- under careful supervision, of course.

Bearpaw had been apprenticed under the previous deputy, an older and experienced tom who announced that the seal point tom would be his final apprentice before his retirement. Bearpaw trained hard to please his mentor and gather as much skill as he possibly could. Before long, he became a warrior in a record time, passing his assessment a whole moon early.

He was granted the name of "Bearheart" as a warrior, after his brave and dedicated personality.

Roleplay[]

While most of camp is caught up in the argument pertaining to Carnelianfall's punishment for breaking the code, Bearheart sits it out. Eventually, cats seem to grow more hostile towards each other, so he cuts in, reminding them that the leader's word is law and that they've said enough. He offers to take anyone else on his hunting trip, if they "wish to be more productive".

However, while out hunting, Bearheart misplaces his paws while chasing down a hare and falls. He injures his leg and has to spend the night in the gorge, until he can find his way back at home. When he makes it back to camp, he takes his apprentice, Sparkpaw, out to practice his tracking skills before both return home to sleep.

Trivia[]

  • He probably wants to have a hundred apprentices of his own.
  • The idea of being deputy has always been tempting to Bearheart, but he's perfectly pleased with the laid-back life of being a warrior-mentor.
    • He'd probably also be a pretty cool dad.
  • Might be mistakenly called "Braveheart"- but his name is actually Bearheart.
